Breaking news!

Read all About it!!

The Chairman of the board of directors, Prof. Ayanwale,  has asked me to release on the blog the following nominees, (unopposed in the majority, 1 opposed) for the offices available in the executive body.

Here it is, better late than never...

"In line with the responsibility assigned to us, the board of directors is to conduct the Yodaai elections. The initial list contained multiple nominations that have been streamlined as follows:

1. President: Dr. Yinka Adediji (Only Nominee).

2. Publicity Secretary /Web Manager: Dr. (Mrs) Funke Abolade (Ratified already)
(Withdrew as Soc. Secretary)

3. Social Secretary: Mrs Toyin Lawal (Only Nominee)

4. Assist. Soc. Secretary:  Dr (Mrs) Yewande Fashina (Only Nominee)

5. General Secretary:  Mr. Kola Dada (Only Nominee)

6. Assist. Gen. Secretary:  Mrs Bose Dawodu (Only Nominee)

7. Financial Secretary/Treasurer: Pastor Elijah Odeleye (Withdrew from this position)

Financial Secretary/Treasurer: Mr Jide Thomas (Only Nominee)

8. Assist. Financial Sec./Treasurer: Pastor Elijah Odeleye (Only Nominee)

9. Auditor: Dr. Benson Akingbemi (Only Nominee)

Barring any disqualification by the outgoing Financial Secretary, Pastor Odeleye, the above listed members by our constitution are declared elected unopposed.

The only office that would be contested is:

1. Vice President:     Mrs. Sola Popoola               4 nominations
                                 Mrs. Victoria Akingbemi     1 nomination

This is apparently a straight forward nominations and election excise.

Engr. Odutola would handle the election affairs on behalf of the board to show that we have done our home work.

The pioneering (1st) executive members would end their job(s) at our next Ajodun or at the most appropriate event determined by the Social Secretary/Exec. Committee, when we shall honor and thank them all. The new executive body to lead YODAAI for the next 2 years would then be "inaugurated" by the board at that event. The new Executive Committee will then take over immediately at that time, led by the President's remarks.

By God’s grace, we hope to meet tomorrow in Birmingham. Thanks."
